The notion of men gathering to discuss issues is not new, nor is doing it via an online meeting application. Men gathering in a religious context is probably the oldest continuous example of this need. The Shine a Light Men's Project crystalized after several conversations with male friends and a good deal of research on what was already offered in men's work spaces. Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved, we offer deepest gratitude.

Online Program

We offer both in-person and online meetings open to all well-intentioned men. No experience with mindfulness or men's work is necessary. Drop-ins are welcome but please let us know. Contact us to share your interest.

If you are experienced with mindfulness or other form of Zen meditation, or if you have participated in a "men's work" program elsewhere, please consider applying for our advanced Resilience Workshop.

NEW!

Spring 2026 we decided to try something new.  Walking, Talking Men is a national movement for men to create real, lasting, local friendships in their own neighborhoods —one walk at a time. We’re helping men open up, connect, and win the fight against men’s epidemic of loneliness. No politics, no judgement, no BS. Just some healthy walking and a friendly chat.
